What is "Cartoon Speaks" ?

Started in 2024 by Cartoonist Ira in Pune, India, Cartoon Speaks is a creative platform offering cartooning services and adorable merchandise for cartoon lovers worldwide. It’s a one-stop space for custom illustrations, playful storytelling and character-driven products.

What makes you draw cartoons and comics?

I’ve been drawing funny faces and creating stories through cute characters since I was four. Over the years, cartooning became my way of observing the world – with humour, empathy and a curious eye. It’s the comic element hidden in the ordinary and the peculiar that keeps me drawing. You’ll always find me observing and doodling various expressions on my iPad Pro.

How would you describe your illustration style?

Quirky, highly expressive with bold lines. With enough whimsical touches 🙂

Which subjects of interest do you love illustrating?

Cute humans, dear animals, gadgets, veggies, etc. basically anything that can be cartoonized 🙂

For which purposes do you create illustrations?

-Magazine illustrations, Kids comics, personalized cartoons for special occasions, Merchandise Design, Shop or Cafe Illustration, Brand mascot design, Calendar/ Bookmark design, Social media posts, Fun activity books, Souvenir Design etc.

For illustration work, from where do you draw your inspiration?

Nature ofcourse 🙂 Surrounding pardoxical situations, quirkyness in peole around me. I like to observe the nuances be it of humans/animals/inanimate objects ar any particular situation .

Do you conduct cartooning workshops in schools, colleges and corporates?

Gladly, please send me an email to contact@cartoonspeaks.com. I conduct one to one as well as batch wise (min. 5 participants) cartooning workshops.

Tom and Jerry, Oswald and Shaun the Sheep.

Which is your favorite color and snack?

Teal and Pavbhaji. 

What are your hobbies other than cartooning?

Cooking is my second favourite thing to do when I’m not cartooning. During my stay in Europe for several years, I found cooking to be therapeutic 🙂

What did you study at university?

Interestingly, I have done my masters (MS.) degree in metallurgy and materials science and worked in corporate in Germany. My strong background in STEM helps me bring a structure to creative work and handle STEM topics efficiently.
